CoQ10 is an antioxidant naturally found in the cells and when applied to the surface of the skin will continue to neutralize free radicals without additional intervention. Like CoQ10, Vitamin E is also naturally present in the skin. It is one of the most powerful antioxidants and protect the epidermal lipid barrier by being the first line of defense for lipid oxidation. Once oxidation occurs it causes direct damage to our skin's DNA which results in accelerated skin aging.
